    Aqdas Newmark has been a murid since 1976 and has served as a Representative, Regional Rep., and currently, as a mentor for Suluk West. She recently moved to the bay area and is Leader of the new Winged Heart Center in San Francisco. Aqdas is an active mentor for Retreat Guides, Coordinators, and Representatives in training. Her retreats and workshops highlight illumination, integration, the unfoldment of the soul, and the application of psychology and spirituality to life's challenges.

    Aqdas has for many years maintained a private practice as a psychologist.

    Azar Baksh is a senior teacher in the Sufi Order, a long time student of Pir Vilayat, a Representative, retreat guide, Shafayat, Cherag, and Farmer in Ziraat. He is a Ph.D. psychologist in private practice in Corpus Christi, Texas. He has written GPS for the Spiritual Journey; Upgrading the Operating System of the Soul: A Manual of Quantum Sufism (with a foreword by Pir Vilayat); and with his wife Ravani Rah is co-author of The Gabrielite Work – Broadband Spirituality for the 21st Century. Azar Baksh and Ravani Rah have developed the Gabrielite Work, which integrates the teachings of ancient and contemporary Sufis including ‘Ibn Arabi, Hazrat Inayat Khan, and Pir Vilayat with modern science such as quantum physics and chaos theory. Azar Baksh and Ravani Rah offer training in the Gabrielite Work through seminars, conference calls, individual and group retreats.

    Ravani Rah has been a Sufi initiate since 1979, and is currently a senior teacher who with her husband Azar Baksh has developed the Gabrielite Work, a synthesis of ancient teachings and contemporary scientific thought. Also a shafayat in the Healing Order, Ravani Rah brings healing methods plus meditation techniques to her popular weekly class in the Corpus Christi Unitarian Universalist Church. She is dedicated to artistic expression in the fields of painting, jewelry design and sculpture as well as encouraging creativity in others.

    Melissa Clare met her Sufi teacher, Pir Vilayat , as a teenager, and later emigrated to America from England to live in a Sufi community.     Shahabuddin Less has been studying and teaching the Sufi Message of Hazrat Pir-o-Murshid Inayat Khan for nearly forty years. He is a direct student of Pir Vilayat Khan and Murshid Samuel Lewis. He also studied with Murshid Shamcher and Mother Krishnbai, and has absorbed teachings from many schools of mysticism throughout the world. He lives in Sarasota, Florida, where he serves as director of Rising Tide International, an organization promoting spirituality and the arts, which he founded.

A graduate of Cornish College of the Arts (Seattle, WA), Sura’s many years as a professional musician, and training as a composer and dancer, inform her inspiration for leading zikr (Remembrance), sacred dance, and devotional singing. Sura’s current passion is facilitating retreats, classes and seminars that promote greater illumination, realization, physical/psychological/emotional healing, actuation of human potential, and healing of our relationship with the earth and with one another.

He is an active musician, dance leader and mentor. Professionally, Wadud continues to practice psychiatry. He has edited two volumes on the heart for the Dynamics of Healing Series and is actively involved in developing material for leaders' training in the Esoteric School. Wadud is interested in sharing about the heart, psychological principles for spiritual guides and practitioners, music-dance-and zikr, the journey of the soul for modern life, and more. Most of all, he emphasizes the integration of many experiences and concepts within modern Sufism, and the practical application of Sufism in our life.
